Renee McFarlan Selected to ACG Women’s Engagement Committee

Renee McFarlan, PM’s regional manager and senior consultant, was recently selected as a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Women’s Engagement Committee.

ACG Cincinnati members include corporate executives, commercial and investment bankers, private equity investors as well as legal, accounting and finance professionals, most of whom specialize in mergers and acquisitions or corporate development.

The ACG Women’s Engagement Committee is new this year, and will focus on increasing the membership of women for the chapter, providing additional activities for networking and deal making, and attempt to further advance women working in various industries in the middle market sector in our region.

“I was very excited to learn I had been selected for the committee,” said McFarlan. “ACG is a competitive group and often receives more applications for committee membership than there are spaces available, so it was a great feeling to know the chapter leadership saw enough value in my application to offer me a spot.”

The ACG Cincinnati chapter requires that applications are submitted for committee selection.

“I applied to be on a number of committees that interested me, but the Women’s Engagement Committee was my number one selection,” said McFarlan. “With my experience on the committee to launch the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI), I thought I could contribute best on this committee with event type selection, expectations, and the overall mission of the group.”

McFarlan will help the committee plan events and serve as an ambassador to ACG in recruiting new members and increase member satisfaction and excitement about ACG and its events.

“I hope to grow my professional and personal network in ACG and introduce PM to a wider variety of middle market clients,” she said. “Serving on a committee and being more involved in the group will help to better establish relationships and trust, which are key in our industry.”
