Mid-Level Staff Consultant

Lansing, Berkley, Grand Rapids & Detroit, Michigan - PM Environmental, Inc. (PM) is looking for a talented Mid-Level Staff Consultant to work within our Due Diligence Group. This position typically consists of a split between office and field duties. Field duties include site walkovers, data collection, and evaluation. Office work includes project coordination, data management, report writing.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Completion of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and related Due Diligence Projects
  • Ensuring that all steps and procedures are taken according to industry and PM standards and that all work is completed as planned and scheduled. This includes keeping the client informed of the on-going status of a project.
  • Review current Federal, State and/or local regulations and industry specific information to maintain current knowledge of industry standards
  • Develop and maintain client relationships

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology or Related field.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong organization skills.
  • Must have keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in various settings and climates.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be available for travel

Entry Level Staff Consultant

Lansing, Berkley, Grand Rapids & Detroit, Michigan - PM Environmental, Inc. (PM) is looking for a talented Entry Level Environmental Consultant to work within our Due Diligence Group.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Senior Geologist

Roseville or Long Beach, California - PM Environmental, Inc. (PM) is looking for a a talented Senior Geologist to work primarily within our Western Region in our Roseville or Long Beach, California offices. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform all phases of environmental due diligence and site assessments including completion of soil, soil gas, and groundwater investigations and remediation.
  • Completion of project initiation documents – which include detailed scopes of work , budgets, and schedule of operations.
  • Provide high quality technical reports by ensuring that reports are complete to industry and PM standards.
  • Assist with Site Investigation, Underground Storage Tank programs, and Remediation as needed.
  • Review and evaluate the project file to verify the adequacy of the scope of work to assure objectives are being met.
  • Provide senior technical reviews for a variety of documents including Phase I, II and III ESAs, proposals, etc.
  • Prepare Human Health Risk Assessments with assistance from other senior technical staff.
  • Achieve client objectives by obtaining information, evaluating concerns and needs,  and presenting recommendations
  • Assist clients in achieving and maintaining compliance with Federal, State, and/or local environmental regulations.
  • Business Development duties; such as representation of the firm at Trade Shows and Conferences.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Environmental Consulting; experience with Chlorinated Solvent, Petroleum, Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST), etc. assessment and remediation preferred.
  • Possess a California PG or PE license is required.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills and general scientific evaluation skills.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Entry to Mid-Level Environmental Scientist

Project Manager/Senior Industrial Hygienist

Detroit, Michigan - PM Environmental, Inc. (PM) is looking for a talented Project Manager/Senior Industrial Hygienist to work with our Industrial Hygiene Department at our Downtown Detroit Regional office. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Overall Project Management and Specification Writing
  • Performing asbestos, lead, and hazardous materials inspections and surveys.
  • Responsible for abatement oversight and air monitoring.
  • Writing high quality, technical reports.

Desired Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies, Geology, or related field is preferred.
  • NIOSH 582 Certification
  • Michigan Asbestos Inspector/Project Designer License is required; certifications in other Mid-West States is preferred.
  • Michigan Lead Inspector / Risk Assessor is required; certifications in other Mid-West States is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience with building material surveys, asbestos abatement oversight and air monitoring, and lead inspections.

Roseville, California - PM Environmental, Inc. (PM) is looking for an Entry Level Research Consultant to work within our Due Diligence Group. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Gather and review data from diverse sources to be used in Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and similar due diligence projects/products.
  • Determine accuracy and relevancy of information gathered.
  • Work with various municipalities to acquire and review necessary information; such as city directory abstracts, municipal,  state, and federal government files, etc. to ensure a positive experience between these entities and PM.

Architectural Consultant

Tampa, Florida, Birmingham, Alabama and/or Murfreesboro, Tennessee - PM Environvmental, Inc. (PM) is looking for candidates with a strong background in architecture, engineering and construction to perform diverse third-party building evaluations such as property condition assessments (PCAs), architectural document & cost reviews, and construction loan monitoring.

Duties will include:

  • Performing diverse third-party building evaluations; such as property condition assessments
  • Conducting field assessments of buildings in order to identify deficiencies
  • Preparing written reports according to the client's scope of work

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree Architecture, Engineering, or related technical field
  • 2 to 4 years of related experience
  • Must have strong organization skills.

  • Field Services Support functions

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Geophysics or related technical field
  • 8 to 10 years of related experience, including Leaking Underground Storage Take assessment and remediation experience
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail
