Project Profiles

PM Environmental, Inc. (PM) was retained  to provide environmental consulting services related to the proposed foreclosure of the subject property by the client.

PM initially completed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) that identified Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs) on the subject property and then completed a comprehensive Phase II ESA that identified contaminants that classified the subject site as a “facility”.  It was determined that a majority of the previous investigations conducted on the subject property by other environmental consultants were not completed within the subject property boundaries after PM completed a boundary survey.

PM submitted a letter to the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) to remove the open leaking underground storage tank (LUST) status of the subject property once it was determined that a previous released filed for the subject property was determined to exist off site.

A geophysical survey using ground penetrating radar (GPR) was completed to identify potential orphaned underground storage tanks (USTs) on the subject property.  Two (2) orphaned USTs were identified and subsequently closed in place.

PM worked closely with the client’s environmental consultant to prepare a BEA, Due Care and associated reporting to the MDEQ.
