Contamination Assessment, Remedial Investigation, Remedial Design, and Corrective Action at LUST Sites in Tennessee
PM Environmental, Inc. teamed with three other consulting firms and was awarded the Statewide Environmental Services contract managed by the Tennessee Department of Finance and Adminstration’s Real Property Management Division. PM was a sub-consultant to the Prime Contractor. All state owned property was included in the contract.
PM managed the south-central and south-west areas of West Tennessee. There were 12 active underground storage tank (UST) sites in this region. These sites consisted of TDOT Facilities, State Parks, Correctional Facilities, and State Museums. The majority of the sites were in various stages of active and passive remediation. Activities included operation and maintenance of two Dual Phase Extraction Remediation Systems, Free Product Removal at four sites, and monitoring plumes allowed to remediate by natural attenuation. All but three sites received regulatory closure.
Additional services involved UST compliance, asbestos materials management, lead based paint, indoor air quality, and other general environmental services. These projects are required on an as-needed and emergency basis as assigned by the Prime.
